week 8 - victorian child with cholera

Hi my favorite people!! I would be lying if I said I didn't miss any of you. Haha loveeee I hope you are all doing good and thriving! WHAT Anywho, guess I probably should give you guys some updates.... Honestly its been a bit rough, we've had lots of lessons fall through, done LOTS of filtering, and knocked quite a bit. Its all good though! The work goes on!! That just means Heavenly Fathers got a good one comin. 😏 We didn't have any weird stories happen unfortunately, but did have some highlights! This weeks GOOD😃 - After MLCR we got CHICKFILA!! WOOHOO best day Eva - It rained pretty much every other day soooo dance party in the rain!! - Lots of amazing member meals, I love the members do much holy, SAINTS - Kept my spirits up! Because why would I ever want to be sad....like what YIPPEE - Our new member lessons followed through! I love our new members, they're amazing - Got quenchers and Braums - Visited lots of our friends and got to meet many new sweet people (even if they didn't want to come to church or agree with us) one day they will... 😉 - Personal study is my FAVORITE! So much good from this week in the BOM and PMG - Got in contact with some of our new friends and got lessons in - Our friend found out he had faith!! - My mom and dad emailed me! And some of my favorite people too - CINCO DE MAYO! 🌮 YAY TACOS - Sister Christensen gave us Carmel balls and rice crispies! - Dance parties! - Found a new friend!! - I learned how to do the worm - Interviews with President Hathaway - Didn't run over a squirrel or die in a tornado - Sister Nielsen is still alive! 🙏 The UNFORTUNATE of this week - Sister Nielsen was ill like a small Victorian Child with Cholera - lots of lessons feel through - Had to focus lots on filtering through pur friends who were progressing and those who weren't 🥲 - Got stuck at a firestone in Joplin for 2 hours - Had some questionable smells consumed (not willingly) - Cat hair - Dogs - It's FREEZING - It's HOT - Missouri can't make up it's mind frfr - Got to caught up while writing letters to mi familia. Im fine now 🙂 - The mission has caused me to have many interesting dreams of future/past lessons, family, friends, the beach, food (I never had dreams before my mission) 🤷‍♀️ idk what's wrong with me haha - People not bein serioussss about their salvation fo real - I miss music and in-n-out There's a summary of some things haha! We've got my first zone conference tomorrow!! President said to ask any burning questions for them that we have so they can answer them tomorrow, so I asked Sister Hathaway was shampoo and conditioner her and her daughter use because they have THE most luxurious hair holy!!! She texted me back saying it was hilarious and made her day 😂 i love them SPIRITUAL THOUGHT 🌸 During training we read this amazing talk called "The Fourth Missionary", I love it! It gives so much clear direction on how to be an amazing missionary. It had helped me so much in the process of setting my mind towards the work! There is this one quote that I very much needed to hear and inspired me, I hope ut does the same for you. It shares how we "forget ourselves and go to work" and aligning our will with God's will and he maximizes our efforts, causing not only blessings but miracles!! "Just give it up. Surrender your will to Him. Unconditionally. Withhold nothing. Turn it all over to Him; all of your desires, wishes, dreams and hopes. Be true and faithful in your head and in your heart, not just in your behavior. Trust in Him. Trust Him who knows all things. Trust Him who has all power. Trust Him whose love for you is perfect. Trust Him, who alone suffered, paid and atoned for your sins, and for your weaknesses as well. Trust Him that He will make of you, immeasurably more, than what you will ever, ever, in all eternity, make of yourself. He will create of you a masterpiece. You will create of you only a smudge. You will create an ordinary man. He will create a God." I strive to have this mindset and one day become a daughter of God who is fully aligned with his will. Putting in the work, trusting him, and remember that he has something so much greater that what I would expect. I love and miss you all so much and never forget... I love all of your life updates!!
