WEEK 15 🤑 "they can't eat ya

What is up shawties!!! Ok lowkey there isnt much to talk about because my last p-day was quite literally 4 days ago..... so here ya go!! My pictures: https://photos.app.goo.gl/h2MunHpv7FBt582w8 🤠STORY TIME 🤠 ☆Steven hit on us and anna got jealous: We had been trying to plan a day for a lesson with our friend Steven that we put on date about 2 weeks ago. He kept sending us this text that said he needed to talk about some “issues”, so we asked him and he said “Anna's issues”(the woman he is living with). Guys, I kid you not this woman is JEALOUS of us coming over and teaching Steven! BAHAH WHAT. Mind you, they are both like, old.👁👄👁 Given, steven kept calling us really weird things like “my love” and saying how he loves us…..soooo we stopped teaching him. God was protecting us frfr. #fightinoffthepedos ☆ Dannie Boy got to the Temple: We took our new member Dannie to do baptisms for his first time!! Guys, he is a miracle. This man got baptized within 3 weeks! (Just before I got to the field) He is just so elect and the sweetest old man!! This experience was a highlight of my mission so far, he got to baptize and do baptisms for his wife, parents, great grandmother, and grandparents. HOW COOL! 🥳🥳 Every time he came out of the water, he was cheesin the whole time. I love that man. ☆ The Marion's Sealing: Oh my heavenly days…I love this family with my whole heart! We had a member lesson with The Marion's, Brother Marion was a past member and just converted back to the church like 3 years ago and his wife a year ago. Anywho, they got sealed to their family this weekend!! It was such a stressful process for them and it finally happened. We went over to talk with them about the temple and bring some courage and peace. It was so sweet, they were so excited but the adversary was just eatin away at em. Sister Marion broke down in tears telling us about it and thanked us for the spirit and love that even just our presence brought. 🥹 I bout near cried. Such a blessing for an amazing family! The Lord knew I needed the Marion Family. ☆ Shout out to Daddy Bert!!! Yesterday was my dad's birthday and father's day! WOOO! A day for the king Father bertrude himself! Bless up to all father's out there, I am forever grateful for you! Love you dad 😘 I got to talk with him and It made my day! I also got to call my grandpa and he told me all his many funny stories, then got annoyed that they send "pretty girls" out on missions because the creeps get to em. (Hes got a point) but im glad I'm out! (Not for the creepy old men but you know what I mean) He then proceeded to give me some life advice for the mish: "Remember sweetheart, they can't eat ya." That was it. Call ended. Not sure what it fully means but whateva whateva. I love my grandpa bro he makes me giggle. ☆President Matswogatha: YAYAYA we get to meet the Matswogathas on thursday and im so excited!! We get to go see all my fun zone buddies and eat food and meet the legends from Botswana!! I'm so hyped! We're missing the Hathaways tho, #RIPinthechat🥲 🤩RIGHTEOUS MOMENT 🤩 I had been re-reading President Nielsen's talk from October 2016 called “joy and spiritual survival”, He says: “My dear brothers and sisters, the joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.” I live for this quote! Yesterday in church, they asked a Non-member to speak! He did amazing, his wife is a member and they are just awesome. He spoke of this exact principle that President Nielsen taught. He goes on to say: “ Gratitude comes from perspective not our circumstances.” I love these two quotes because they perfectly draw out the importance of how we view things in our life. As we adjust our focus on the Savior and have charity towards God's children, life gets all the better. I'm not saying life is easy, because boy it's not, but as we change our perspective, we begin to see the big picture. Whatever you are looking for you will find it, if you are looking for the little bad things in your day. You will find the bad. If you are looking for the good, the miracles. You will find the good. Enjoy the little things because everyday you will find joy. The little things we take for granted open our eyes once they are gone. I've seen this one firsthand as a missionary for sure. I took way to many things for granted (especially my mom's cooking...mother you are an angel. I'm sorry for ever complaining about your food) Anyways.... He then went on to ask this question: “ How much do we assume the people we love know that we appreciate them? When we express appreciation they feel seen, valued, loved. Gratitude as an action is far greater than the statement. Even in less than Perfect circumstances there is so much to be grateful for. “ He gave us 3 invitations that I want to extend to you all to do this week! 1.Try to notice 3 blessings every day 2.write a note and Thank someone 3.Pause to appreciate someone you love Show you're gratitude!! Gratitude is one of the only things that benefits both the giver and the receiver. How you view life is a choice. Choose to see it through God's eyes. I love and miss you all!! Have the best week ever! Remember Jesus loves YOU! Love, Sister Coon 🩷
